Studio Lighting & Directing :: (1 day workshop. Max 8 Students.) :: Soft boxes, strips, umbrellas, grids, beauty dishes, strobes, flashes, fills, high key, low key, simple, complex... On and on and on. And THEN you have to pose and direct your subjects? It can all be overwhelming. Join me for a full day of shooting in studio as I walk you through a vast array of lighting modifiers and scenarios and then concentrate on directing and posing your subject. Students should have a solid understanding of their camera and exposing for off camera lighting.
After shooting for the day we all head back to my house for dinner and drinks and conversation about photography and life.
Gear you will need to bring - Bring a camera with a 24-70mm equivalent lens or in that range of focal lengths. If you have something like a 24mm, 35mm, and a 50mm or 85mm range of lenses you'll be just fine. You won't need anything super wide nor longer than maybe 100mm. Bring extra batteries and memory cards. I will have all the lighting equipment on hand for you to use. DSLR, mirrorless, or M43 cameras all are fine to use for this workshop.
